Belgium: Exhibition

Roger Bauduin, Nivelles/Belgium, sent us this Belgium commemorative.

Normally a "HARMONIE" is a kind of a brass band. The basic meaning of 'harmonie' is: unanimity, good understanding, concord.  That is the reason, that old village halls sometimes have the name "harmonie".

Of course the village hall of Rekkem is decorated with the name "De Bie" (the honeybee). Who else shows us unanimity, understanding, etc.? Again a nice example of thinking during the Enlightenment period.

Roger Bauduin tells us also, that 125 years 'Harmonie De Bie' is celebrated with a philatelic exhibition exclusively around the honeybee.
