"Reichsfachgruppe Imker" means State Trade Group Beekeepers. It was a Nazi organization in Germany. That does not alter the fact that the group was of great importance for German beekeeping.
After World War I Germany had to pay France high reparation payments. These payments caused not only big financial and economical proplems, but part of the payment was the delivery of 70.000 bee colonies to France. With that, German beekeeping was destroyed. The "Reichsfachgruppe Imker" had a big contribution in repairing apiculture in Germany.
If you think this history is too heavy for your collection: on the illustrated red meter is pictured a honey jar.
